The Arab Journal of Nuclear Sciences and Application is a scientific periodical published by the Egyptian Society of Nuclear Sciences and Application. The journal publishes different scientific work related to nuclear sciences and application. The journal appears annually in four issues in January, April, July and October. Special issues which address special occasions are published un-periodically. All papers are published after careful refereeing by subject specials.

Typing Instructions and Formats

• An Electronic copy of the manuscript should be submitted. The font used should be Times New Roman using Microsoft Word. The printed area for all pages is restricted (page set up Top 3.5 cm, Bottom 3 cm, Left 2.5 cm and Right 2.5 cm).
• Typing with font size 10 should be single spaced, paragraphs being separated by one space. The first line in each paragraph starts after leaving three spaces.
• Titles of manuscripts should be center-lined, with font size 12. It should be in bold letters, the first letter in each word should be in capital letters, e.g.

Studies on the Radiation Lethality of Mammals Using some....

• After an empty line the author(s) name(s), without titles, are written, centered, in bold letters, with bold font size 10, e.g.

E.A. El-Komy, A.I. Helal and H.F. Aly

• In the following line, the name and address of the authors institutions are written, center-lined, with font size 10 in italic letters, e.g.

Nuclear Physics Department, Nuclear Research Center,

Atomic Energy Authority, Cairo, Egypt

• The e-mail of the corresponding author should be added as a footnote at the end of the first page.

• After two empty lines, an abstract should come up to 250 words, with font size 9 the width of the abstract area is only 14 cm.

• An empty line is left, then 3 to 5 keywords, related to the subject of the publication typed in font size 9, the first letter in each word should be in capital letters e.g:

Keywords: Uranium / Extraction / Radioisotope Production.

• Main headings (e.g. Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References) should be in bold letters and under lined to the end of the column.
• The first letter in the first word in the subtitles should be capital letter.
• Figures should be carefully drawn with captions below the figure in bold letters with font size 9. In case photographs are included, they should be very clear.
• Tables should include their own captions, written above each table in bold with font size 9. They can be diminished to fit more than 11.5 cm width (horizontal) and 16 cm length (vertical). All abbreviations should be explained as footnotes directly below the table avoiding shaded areas.
• Figures and tables should be typed using Microsoft word and submitted in separate files.
• Equations and reactions should be numbered sequentially and their numbers should appear between brackets to the right of the equation or the reaction.

References:

• References are marked consecutively in the text in Arabic numerals as superscripts between brackets, e.g. Several authors[1-3] have studied this effect...
• A complete list of references should be given at the end of the manuscript in the same numerical order including the paper title, e.g.

Amr, M.A., Dawood, N.D.A., Helal, A.I. and Russell, B. (2017) Rare Earth Elements and 143Nd/144Nd Isotope Ratio Measurements using Tandem ICPCRC-MS/MS: Characterization of Date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.), J. Anal. Spectrom, 7 (6), 265-283.

• Conference proceedings must be indicated with pages, address and date.
• Citations such as "unpublished work" or "personal communication" should be avoided.

Processing of Manuscripts:

• Manuscripts will be examined by two specialized referees, and the referees comments will be communicated to the corresponding author for revision.
• After final processing, an authorized statement for acceptance, or rejection, is communicated to the corresponding author.
• In case of final acceptance and after receiving the article processing fees , the manuscript then undergoes language editing, technical editing, proofreading and finally is published.
• The paper will be published with indication of the first date of receipt, and date of acceptance.
